Breaking News ! Boris Johnson is due to unveil a new tougher Tier system on Monday. And with infection rates in parts of West Yorkshire among some of the highest in the country, it is expected it could be immediately placed in Tier 3. The Prime Minister is not expected to say which areas will move into which Tier but has previously suggested whole regions will face the same restrictions rather than individual towns or cities. Kirklees has the highest infection rate in Yorkshire according to the latest government data followed by Bradford and then Calderdale. West Yorkshire was due to move into Tier 3 just days before the full lockdown was brought in for England. Here are the rules it would've faced - but they could be even stricter under the new measures due to be announced. Meeting friends and family You would not be able to meet socially with friends and family indoors in any setting unless they are part of their household or support bubble - this includes private homes and indoors in hospitality venues, such as pubs. You would be able to continue to see friends and family in groups of six or less that you don’t live with (or have formed a support bubble with) in certain outdoor public spaces, such as a park, allotments, beach, forests, countryside or public garden. You would not be able to meet with people outside of your household or support bubble in a private garden or in most outdoor public venues. You would not be able to visit friends or family in care homes, other than in exceptional circumstances. Care homes should restrict visits to these circumstances.
