Breaking News ! A Lincolnshire woman has been fined after driving more than 100 miles to Scarborough for a McDonald's meal with her sister. Officers caught her after she had travelled through three counties to get a burger, which is not classed as an "essential journey". The woman, in her 30s, was issued with a fixed penalty notice from North Yorkshire Police. Chief Inspector Rachel Wood of North Yorkshire Police said: “Driving through three counties to get a burger is not classed as essential travel.
