Breaking News ! Costa Coffee has confirmed that one of its branches has closed its doors in Sheffield. The coffee chain is due to open over 1,000 sites by the end of June but the store in Burncross Road in Chapeltown will not re-open its doors to the public again. Residents in the area had noticed that furniture and fittings inside the branch had been removed and questions were raised about the future of the store. All members of staff have been redeployed to other stores in the local area. A Costa Coffee spokeswoman said: “We can confirm that the Costa Coffee store on Burncross Road, Chapeltown in Sheffield has closed – all team members have been redeployed to other stores in the local area. The Costa Coffee in Chapeltown will not re-open the doors (Image: Google) "We would like to apologise for the inconvenience the closure may cause customers and hope to welcome them to stores nearby to continue to enjoy our signature, handcrafted coffees.
