Breaking News ! Morrisons is a handing out free meals for children during this half term. The lunch boxes will be given to food banks and schools, sp kids in need can get them. 498 Morrisons stores will give away 30 lunches per day - working out at 14,940 meals. Morrisons community director Rebecca Singleton said: “We want to do our bit to ensure that as many school children as possible can eat good, nutritious food while they are out of school. We will be delighted if customers are also able to donate food in our stores to help fight holiday hunger.

Morrisons is also offering customers an easy way to support those in need with ‘Pick Up Packs’ distributed to young people. The packs’ cost between £1 and £5 and have a nutritionally balanced mix of food products inside requested by food banks and schools according to their needs. The parcels are available at the front of all Morrisons stores and are paid for at the checkout and dropped off on the way out for delivery to those in need.
