Breaking News ! The owner of a play gym near Huddersfield has said that government's roadmap out of lockdown, leaving play centres last to reopen, is frustrating but not surprising. Mandy Ross from Denby Dale has traded only eight weeks in fourteen months throughout the coronavirus pandemic due to lockdowns and local restrictions. Soft play centres have been one the hardest hit during the pandemic, being one of the first business' to close and now finding themselves amongst the last to reopen under the Prime Minister's plan to ease lockdown restrictions. It was announced yesterday that soft play centres will be allowed to reopen by May 17 at earliest under step 3 of the government's roadmap. They will be after gyms, pubs, restaurants and swimming pools who will be allowed to reopen the month earlier, under step 2 of the staggered roadmap. "I was expecting the news," she said.

. "We were the first to close and now we are going to be the last to reopen, I have traded for eight weeks in the space of fourteen months. "I think Boris Johnson 's understanding of soft play centre's is incorrect, he obviously thinks they are huge buildings of a poor hygiene crammed with people - but for us that couldn't be further from the truth. "Nurseries have remained open throughout where children are mixing anyway, it just makes no sense, we are a lifeline for many new mums in the area. "It's unfair but being bitter doesn't change anything, you've just got to get on with it."
