Breaking News ! A drugs kingpin who used his antiques business as a front for his cocaine empire that flooded the streets of Yorkshire has been jailed. Karl Pettitt, 52, was at the top of a criminal pyramid that had cocaine imported into the UK from Colombia and onto the streets of Yorkshire. He used the drug money to fund his "extravagant" lifestyle and pay for "expensive designer clothing", a court heard on May 14. A court was told how Pettit, from Hull, "manipulated" people and "exploited their vulnerabilities" to leave a "trail of debt and misery behind him". Appearing in the dock at Hull Crown Court on May 14 he was sentenced to 15 years behind bars after being found guilty of conspiracy to supply class A drugs. Speaking after the sentencing, Detective Chief Inspector Simon Vickers said: “Pettitt was clearly living beyond his means since being released from prison for previous drugs offences in 2016.
