Breaking News ! Detectives are appealing to the public for information after a flasher targeting women in Trafford struck 14 times in four weeks. Police say the 'vulgar and crude' incidents took place in Sale, Flixton and Urmston - usually near bus stops, shops or Metrolink stations. In one incident on Sunday, 27 June a man was seen on the canal towpath at about 8.30pm walking towards the tram stop in Timperley exposing himself. Just over an hour later a man who was driving a red car on Framingham Road in Sale stopped to ask a teenage girl for directions to the Trafford Centre. When he opened the car door he was indecently exposed from the waist down. . "Whilst we have made one arrest our investigation is still ongoing and I would implore anyone who has any information about this crude behaviour to please contact police as soon as possible." On Sunday police in Trafford told how a police dog helped detain a suspected flasher after a car chase. Officers said they received several calls about a man exposing himself in a number of different locations across Trafford on Sunday night. After a short chase the suspect crashed his car and tried to run away. But a dog unit was called in and helped detain the suspect.
