From climbing the stairs at home that is the equivalent of scaling Scafell Pike in the Lake District to 30 minutes of yoga every day for a week, the pair are set various fitness challenges by each other and listeners while hoping to inspire others along the way. Kat, a youth worker and mental health advocate, said: "Being in lockdown I was thinking that a lot of people had been suffering with their mental health. "I suffered throughout the years with depression and I was thinking of different ways of coping through the lockdown and that's where it came from. "I've known Jazz for years and I knew she was passionate about mental health as well." Jazmine became a powerlifter (Image: Jazmine Franks/Instagram) Fitness fanatic Jazmine, 29, devoted her time to the strength sport powerlifting after leaving the soap after almost eight years in 2018. With gyms closed and competitions cancelled, the actress from Bury has taken up walking during the pandemic. Kat, 32, from Urmston, has also been going for walks. Jazmine said: "We had an idea originally of just basically talking about mental health but I'm into my fitness so for me I always feel so much better after I've worked out or after I've done some sort of activity. "That is what helps my mental health. "I wanted to link it in with fitness. That's where we came up with the idea of challenges. "Every week we set each other a challenge and introduce something different just to keep active and try new things during lockdown." Instagram During her time on Hollyoaks, Jazmine got a personal trainer and 'fell in love' with weight training. She got into weights quickly after initially feeling out of her comfort zone and found herself feeling stronger, more confident and empowered. She shed a stone after starting powerlifting, which consists of squats, bench presses and deadlifts, and competed in the the All England Powerlifting Championships. Jazmine, who now lives in Salford, has a bench at home but she says she's hardly used it in lockdown. "I look at the bench and think 'I cant be bothered doing that'", she explained. "I like the gym environment, headphones on, focused. I've gone for that reason. "Going benching in my living room or sitting down watching Netflix there's no comparison.
