Shoretire's reaction to the delivery was just as good, with a fierce bullet header that left Alfie Whiteman with no chance. United then found themselves on the back foot as Spurs responded, with Brooklyn Lyons-Foster dictating the play and being integral to two major moments for the visitors. His cross into the middle found Kion Etete, who found space between the defenders to equalise. Spurs continued to look dangerous, forcing saves from Woolston and testing the defence, but couldn't quite find the cutting edge for the equaliser. United, meanwhile, were also looking threatening at times but also lacked the end product demonstrated in the first period.
