Breaking News ! A consumer goods importer has bought a warehouse on a Bury St Edmunds business park and promised job opportunities for residents.MH Star has snapped up the 206,000 sq ft unit at Suffolk Park due to its proximity to Felixstowe, where many of its products arrive into the UK.The company sources home and garden products and its brands include Aosom, Outsunny, Soozier, PawHut, Qaba and Homcom.The Suffolk Park warehouse sold to MH Star. Picture: Michael CameronMoris Ye, assistant manager of UK operations at MH Star UK, said: “With our business evolving and growing rapidly, we needed extra distribution space to fulfil our ongoing and future requirements.“The Bury St Edmunds warehouse will be the third in our property portfolio and we are excited to be setting up in such a lovely town, where we can give back to the community and create job opportunities for the local residents.” He added they hope to continue to do business with Suffolk Park developer Jaynic as MH Star ‘continue to expand’.

.Ben Oughton, development director of Jaynic, said: “The sale of this warehouse to MH Star is great news and further underpins the park’s prime location adjacent to the A14, just a mile from junction 45, giving MH Star great links into the national motorway network." He said they have received planning consent for a second phase of four ‘big sheds’ and ‘will start construction in the near future as there is little supply of new space in the region’.The four warehouses are 37,000 sq ft, 80,000 sq ft, 100,000 sq ft and 150,000 sq ft.The 114-acre Suffolk Park has outline planning consent for two million sq ft of business, distribution, and industrial space.Cllr John Griffiths, leader of West Suffolk Council, said Suffolk Park is ‘quickly becoming a major employment hub for the town’.He added: “It’s good to see that the vision set out by the council when it led on work with partners to unlock land and infrastructure for the Suffolk Business Park, is becoming a reality.”
