Breaking News ! Thomas Cook has made a comeback a year after the travel giant collapsed and stranded thousands of holidaymakers abroad. The firm is relaunching as an online travel agent, with holidays to Turkey and Italy already on sale. New owner Fosun Tourism Group, which owns the rights to the name and brand, will retain the it's iconic 'Sunny Heart' logo - and will offer everything from room-only stays to five-star all-inclusive deals. The new "Covid-ready" website will start by selling holidays to beach resorts and cities in countries on the government’s travel corridor list. Holidaymakers who book a holiday won't be charged a fee to change their trip if government advice changes before they travel. It comes as the travel industry faces the worst tourism crisis since records began. International tourist trips have dropped by 65% during during the first half of 2020, according to World Tourism Organisation.

. The new venture includes a team of UK-based travel advisors and will allow people to design their ideal holiday, including hotel choice, flight times, transfers and airport parking. Thomas Cook's collapse in September 2019 saw thousands of holidaymakers affected by cancelled trips. It also led to the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) operating one of the largest peacetime repatriations for Brits stranded abroad.
