Breaking News ! Sir Chris Hoy has backed fellow Scot Peter Sawkins to win this year’s Great British Bake Off. Student Peter, 20, from Edinburgh, wowed the judges in the first round of the competition when he made a hero-themed showstopper based on Chris. Now after a few wobbly bakes the student is favourite to take the Bake Off trophy in Tuesday’s final after last week getting his second star baker nod. Olympian and 11-times world champion cyclist Chris said: “I’m delighted to hear Peter has made the final, particularly as he immortalised me in cake form.
