Breaking News ! "The landlord of a pub in Co Antrim faces fines of up to £20,000 after he admitted two breaches of Covid health regulations yesterday. Antrim Magistrates Court, sitting in Ballymena, heard that 56-year-old Noel Colm McKenna was admitting all five charges against him.These were two breaches of Covid regulations, as well as engaging in disorderly behaviour on the Ballyginniff Road in Crumlin, and resisting and assaulting police.
.While none of the facts surrounding the charges were opened in court, during an exchange between lawyer Neil Moore, District Judge Nigel Broderick and the prosecution, it was established that McKenna, who is landlord of McKenna's Bar in Crumlin, faces fines of up to £10,000 for each of the Covid regulation breaches.Adjourning passing sentence to March 26, Mr Broderick revealed that McKenna is in breach of a suspended sentence, so he was ordering a pre-sentence probation report."
