Breaking News ! Police have fined 70 drivers over illegal parking at the side of the road at a Scots beauty spot. Photos of cars parked on the C6 road between Balmaha and Rowardennan, near Loch Lomond, were shared by officers on social media. Rows of cars can be seen parked up on the grassy verge. Officers were called out to help Stirling Council workers enforce parking regulations in the area. A total of 70 fixed penalty notices were issued on Saturday.

Council workers were forced to paint double yellow lines on stretches of road near the Devil's Pulpit in Stirlingshire two weeks ago after visitors continued to park illegally.  A Forth Valley Police spokesperson said: "Parking in a Clearway Zone is an offence.
