Magical 'dining domes' at The Willow Tree, Bourn Dining Domes at the Willow Tree restaurant in Bourn, Cambridgeshire The Willow Tree in Bourn has installed three stunning outdoor dining domes, which can accommodate up to six people each. The stunning domes sit in the restaurant's expansive gardens and at night light up for a magical dining experience. At the time of opening, owner Shaina Galvin told CambridgeshireLive: "I feel these will provide people with an extra sense of comfort at this time, as well as bringing a very magical dining experience to The Willow Tree." The Willow Tree, Bourn We sent our reporter Benjamin Turner to try them out for himself and this is what he thought. "Once inside the domes, there’s a tangible feeling of being a bit special as other punters peek in at you. "Being tucked away also brings a sense of privacy and intimacy as your conversations reverberate off the 80 hard plastic panels that make up the dome." You can read his full review here. The pub has a strong reputation and has repeatedly featured in the Michelin UK Restaurant Guide. For the privilege of being in one of the special domes, you pay £45 for the dome itself, on top of your choice of food from The Willow Tree’s menu. Book online by clicking here.

. With regulations limiting their reducing their capacity from 16 tables inside to just six, they worried about what they were going to do when the bad weather hit. So they decided to build five huts in the outside area of the pub, each fully kitted out with heating, lighting and Sonos music, to increase the capacity. Each hut can fit up to six people, as per the current government regulations. The stunning huts look like tiny log cabins, making them the perfect setting for a magical winter night out. The Three Tuns pub, Great Abington Karen previously told CambridgeshireLive: "They're very good if people want to isolate themselves away from the pub, if they're still frightened of coming into the pub because of coronavirus and all those issues. So if you want to be in your bubble, you can do that in the hut and you don't have to enter the pub. "We thought it was a great way to expand our outside space. We thought it was better than having a marquee like some pubs are doing. "When this is all over, it's just an extension to the pub really. Even if we go back to normal, at least we've got five extra tables for all weathers." Book your hut by clicking here.
