Breaking News ! Livingston boss Gary Holt refused to lay blame at goalkeeper Robby McCrorie after the Lions let a lead slip in a 3-1 home loss to Kilmarnock. The hosts had taken an early lead through Scott Pittman but trailed at the break after McCrorie palmed a Chris Burke strike into the path of Aaron Tshibola prior to Burke's slamming home from the penalty spot. While the on-loan Rangers keeper could have done better with Killie's opener, he was certainly at fault for their third just before the hour mark when he fumbled a Zeno Ibsen Rossi cross with Greg Kiltie on hand to tap into the empty net. It was a somewhat sloppy and disjointed performance from Livingston, chasing their third straight league victory, but even so they clattered the woodwork twice as they fell to their third home defeat of the campaign - a figure already higher than last season's tally. Holt said: "He’s (McCrorie) learning his trade. He has done well for us. He made a mistake, he probably thought he had more time to gather it and has been unlucky. “It’s a lonely world being a keeper. Robby has held his hands up and said he cost us but he didn’t. “I feel for the lads. They put in a shift, created lots of chances, hit the woodwork twice and even scored a good goal.” He added: "We've done really well but then came unstuck. Kilmarnock are season campaigners at this level and know how to grind out results and wins and sucker punch you and that's what we need to take on the chin and learn from. "I thought there was a lot of really good play from us.

. And things certainly appeared to be going their way in the early stages as they took an 11th minute lead. Julien Serrano's ball from the left found Pittman in space with the midfielder calmly rolling the ball beyond Danny Rogers for his 25th league goal for the club. Livi dominated possession in the early proceedings but Killie soon found their way back into the game. Kirk Broadfoot headed over the bar from a Burke cross on 17 minutes. Burke was a nuisance all afternoon and was close to giving his side the lead when he cut inside and flashed an effort narrowly wide on the half-hour mark. Six minutes later he would finally fire home Killie's second. Alan Power was harshly adjudged to have been tripped by Pittman with referee Greg Aitken having no hesitation in pointing to the spot. Burke blasted the spot-kick high beyond the diving McCrorie. Killie's third killed the game off and arrived 11 minutes after the break when McCrorie failed to handle Ibsen Rossi's harmless cross from the right and fumbled the ball onto the foot of Kiltie. To their credit, Livi certainly huffed and puffed but it never looked like being their day. Alan Forrest hit the post from a tight angle before Efe Ambrose had a dangerous header hooked clear. Jay Emmanuel-Thomas also went close to breaking his Livi duck in the dying stages when his effort glanced the top of the crossbar but it would have been no more than a consolation on a disappointing day.
