Breaking News ! Tax-dodging menace Craig Whyte’s sister Adelle is at the centre of fraud allegations in the Netherlands. Accountants called in to wind up a company formerly run by the ex- Rangers owner in Amsterdam uncovered evidence of potential criminal activity related to more than £200,000 in tax debts. The storm around Adelle Miller, who lives in Canada, makes her the third Whyte family member to come under the microscope for alleged serious financial irregularities since a Record undercover probe last year. Company filings show Miller signed up as a director for ticketing firm Belbios Holdings BV in 2015 – on the same day her brother resigned. She later resigned in 2017 and the company was wound up last September. By the time Belbios was compulsorily wound up last year, it had accrued tax debts that were questioned by an investigating lawyer. He recommended a fraud probe by the Fiscale Inlichtinge en OpsporingsDienst (FIOD) which probes financial crimes. A source told the Record: “Adelle Miller has been contacted by the trustee in the bankruptcy and has failed to cooperate with their inquiries. “A report has been drawn up that suggests there is evidence of potential criminal activity relating to the switching of assets between companies. “Of course, few people outside the Whyte family will know how much involvement Adelle has ever really had with this company. It is not known why Craig resigned as a director and Adelle was switched in on the same day. “It remains to be seen exactly how much Craig’s sister might have known about the daily dealings of Belbios Holdings, but it’s her name down as a director and it’s her name that has been given to the fraud investigators. It is quite possible she will be horrified to find her involvement in the firm has led to this.” Adelle Miller has become the third Whyte family member to come under the microscope for alleged serious financial irregularities since a Record undercover probe last year (Image: Daily Record) Get the latest headlines sent straight to your inbox with our newsletter Did you know you can keep up to date with the latest news by signing up to our daily newsletter? An official report by lawyer Marthe Wiebe, of leading Amsterdam firm De Vos and Partners, highlighted that Miller had refused to help with inquiries. It stated that Korissa Capital Corp, a company registered in Panama, was the sole ultimate shareholder. The trustee’s report notes that Belbios Holdings BV was formed 25 years ago and originally provided cinema information to consumers via a telephone line. But the business was overtaken by rivals in the sector with better technology. It notes ownership of Belbios was switched several times in recent years. It recently turned to cashback promotions, working for a company called Red Tulip Media BV. That firm’s sole director is Whyte – and the Record has previously exposed how customers in the Netherlands claimed to have been conned. The trustee report states no accounts were filed for Belbios Holdings BV for five years – an apparent violation of accountancy rules. Miller now appears to work as a masseuse in Kelowna in British Columbia, where she set up the Okanagan Rangers Supporters Club. When the Record called to ask about the fraud probe, she confirmed to our reporter she was Adelle Miller but when our reporter revealed he worked for the Record, she hung up.
