Fans will have to pay £14.95 if they want to watch the match live on BT Sport Box Office, even if they already subscribe to the broadcaster's regular channels. Former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is one of those that has voiced his disgruntlement at the arrangement. “£14 is a lot of money,” Mourinho said. “You cannot even share with your friends as they cannot come to your house [in London]. It is difficult. I feel sorry for the fans. But hopefully this stops quickly and we can have some people in the stadium.” 2020-10-17T11:30:50.000Z Walcott: I'm not here to put my feet upTheo Walcott could make his second Southampton debut this afternoon after returning to his boyhood club on loan from Everton on deadline day. The former England international has some happy memories of playing at Stamford Bridge, having scored for Arsenal in that bizarre 5-3 game here a few years back, and is keen to hit the ground running. Photo: Getty"I looked down at the badge and it just reminds me of when I was a kid. I feel 16 again," Walcott told the BBC. "I am not coming here to put my feet up, I'm here to work hard, play and help." Advertisement 2020-10-17T11:20:37.423Z Chelsea predicted lineupSo, how will the Blues shape up today? Here's what we think...Kepa, James, Zouma, Christensen, Chilwell, Kante, Jorginho, Mount, Havertz, Pulisic, Werner ODDS 2020-10-17T11:05:50.000Z What do the bookmakers think? As you'd expect, Chelsea are odds-on favourites to make it back-to-back home wins in the Premier League, priced up at 5/8 with Betfair. However, Southampton produced an upset in this fixture last season and are 5/1 to do so again, with the draw at 7/2 2020-10-17T10:34:38.000Z Lampard: I gave James talking to after red cardChelsea boss Frank Lampard says he had a word with defender Reece James, after the 20-year-old was sent off on England duty in midweek.Photo: GettyThe full-back had put in a terrific performance on his first start for his country, in the 1-0 defeat to Denmark, but was shown a red card for dissent after the final whistle. "I did have a word with him about what happened at the end and the fact he got involved with the referee," Lampard said."We are all human, I have been there, done it, did it as a player, maybe even as a manager – none of us are saints."It will definitely be one for him to learn from – that when you have a performance at that level, playing for your country, you will get a lot of plaudits, so there was no need for him to get involved with the referee after." Advertisement 2020-10-17T10:03:38.000Z Lampard: We needed spending to replace Hazard Frank Lampard says Chelsea’s summer spending spree was necessary after they were unable to replace Eden Hazard a year ago because of their transfer ban. Photo: Getty"For me we lost probably the best player in the League," said Lampard. "We couldn’t do any business so the work we did was on the pitch last year."Teams that are striving to be in and around top six and upwards were spending last year, they were spending again this summer."They’ve had the opportunity with the players they bought last year to get them embedded into their teams and we’re dealing with teams above us, which is where we want to get to, where we are aspiring to get to, that have been building their squads for a long time."We want to build our squad. We missed two windows and now we come back in and we’ve brought players in with a view to improve us." ES COVERAGE 2020-10-17T09:36:38.
..."Chelsea comfortably saw off Crystal Palace last time out so should do the same to Southampton, right? If only football were that simple."The outcome can turn even more unpredictable after an international break when managers never quite know how their players will react."Edouard Mendy, for one, is missing through injury. On his League debut, Chelsea’s new goalie kept a clean sheet."You have to go back 16 years to find the last Blues keeper to make it two on the bounce. Petr Cech, for sure, would be a good man to emulate."
Chilwell back in contentionFrank Lampard also has Ben Chilwell available today, despite the left-back playing no part in any of England's three games during the international break. He missed the friendly against Wales after breaching coronavirus restrictions to attend Tammy Abraham's surprise birthday party and then was released from the camp early when it became clear he wouldn't be fit in time to feature in this week's defeat to Denmark.
Ziyech and Pulisic returnBetter news for Chelsea is that Hakim Ziyech and Christian Pulisic are fit again after injury. Pulisic made his return from the bench against Crystal Palace but could make his first start since last season's FA Cup final, while Ziyech will be among the substitutes and could make his first competitive appearance since arriving from Ajax in the summer. Who will start in goal? With Mendy out, Lampard faces an interesting call as to who starts between the sticks. His lack of confidence in Kepa Arrizabalaga as no.1 is what prompted the move for Mendy in the first place and the last time Lampard had a straight choice between him and Willy Caballero in a league game it was the Argentine who got the nod. However, it was Kepa that was on the bench as no.2 behind Mendy for the win over Crystal Palace just before the international break. Hm.
Mendy and Silva OUTSome bad news for Chelsea fans to kick us off is that they will be without two of their summer signings for this afternoon's game. Photo: GettyGoalkeeper Edouard Mendy was sent home early from international duty with Senegal after picking up an injury and is not fit enough to be involved, though Frank Lampard said yesterday that he shouldn't be out for too long. Thiago Silva will also be absent, though he is not injured, but has been left out of the squad after a mammoth round-trip to Peru to play in Brazil's World Cup qualifier on Wednesday night.

Kick-off time and venue
Chelsea vs Southampton is scheduled for a 3pm BST kick-off.
The match will be behind closed doors at Stamford Bridge with no fans due to be present due to government guidelines regarding coronavirus.
How to watch
TV channel: The match will be shown live via pay-per-view on BT Sport Box Office at a cost of £14.95.
Lampard will be without summer signings Edouard Mendy and Thiago Silva. Goalkeeper Mendy picked up an injury while on international duty with Senegal and Lampard must now decide whether to start Kepa Arrizabalaga or Willy Caballero in goal.
Silva is not injured but has been left out of the squad after making the mammoth round-trip to Peru for Brazil’s World Cup qualifier on Wednesday night. However, there is some good news for Lampard as wingers Christian Pulisic and Hakim Ziyech are fit to return to the squad.
Pulisic has not started a game since going off injured in last season’s FA Cup final defeat to Arsenal, while Ziyech is yet to make his debut after arriving from Ajax in the summer. Lampard added that the Moroccan wis not ready to start but could make a cameo from the bench.
Ben Chilwell is available for selection, despite withdrawing early from international duty with England. The left-back missed England’s friendly against Wales because of a coronavirus breach and was released from the squad prior to Wednesday night’s 1-0 defeat to Denmark, in order to return to Cobham and build fitness ahead of the Saints clash.
Chelsea predicted XI: Kepa, James, Zouma, Christensen, Chilwell, Kante, Jorginho, Mount, Havertz, Pulisic, Werner
Ralph Hasenhuttl could opt to hand a Southampton debut to Mohammad Salisu following his summer move from Real Valladolid.
Prediction: Chelsea 2-0 Southampton
Chelsea got back on the right path against Palace, cutting out the woeful defensive errors and at the other end proving as dangerous as many expected them to be following an expensive summer recruitment drive.
Southampton will have confidence after successive wins before the break, but a third victory in a row at Stamford Bridge is likely to prove a tall order.
Head to head (h2h) history and results
Of the 42 Premier League meetings between the teams, Chelsea have won 24 and Southampton nine, with nine draws.
Chelsea eased to a 4-1 win at St Mary's in October 2019, only to lose the return fixture 2-0 on Boxing Day courtesy of goals from Michael Obafemi and Nathan Redmond.
