Breaking News ! Welcome to the Evening Standard’s LIVE commentary of tonight’s Championship action. Leaders Leeds could only claim a point against relegation-threatened Luton at Elland Road, drawing 1-1 thanks to Stuart Dallas' equaliser. Luton, now bottom of the table but only two points from safety, took the lead in the 50th minute through a fine effort from substitute Harry Cornick, before Dallas slotted home in the 63rd. With Leeds' efforts to find a winner in vain, they are now four points clear of second-placed West Brom, who face Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough on Wednesday, and six in front of third-placed Brentford, who were 3-0 winners at Reading. Fulham, two points behind the Bees, moved up to fourth after coming from behind to beat QPR 2-1 at Loftus Road. Cardiff, in sixth, were held to a goalless draw at home by Charlton. Wigan took another step towards survival as their excellent form continued with a 3-0 home victory over Stoke, who are only a point above the relegation zone. Barnsley boosted their survival hopes with a 2-0 home win over Blackburn. Elsewhere, Millwall and Swansea drew 1-1 at the Den, leaving the gap between them and the play-off places at five and four points respectively. Mason Bennett put the home side in front before an own goal from Lions goalkeeper Bartosz Bialkowski earned Swansea a point. Photo: PAThat will be a huge relief to Scott Parker and Fulham. They are good value for the three points here in west London tonight and will be delighted with their ability to score twice without the suspended Aleksander Mitrovic. When the top scorer is absent, some unlikely goalscorers often have to fill the void and Harry Arter and Cyrus Christie did just that, both scoring fine efforts from range to move Fulham within four points of the top two again. There will still be concerns for Parker. Tom Cairney was largely passed by in midfield while Bobby Decordova-Reid, despite running himself into the ground, was kept rather quiet by the Rangers back line.Having been outdone tactically by Thomas Frank and Marcelo Bielsa since the restart, Parker can claim some credit for the introduction of Josh Onomah especially, his presence adding some more dynamism to Fulham in the build up to their winner.

Photo: GettyMalik Ouzia at the Madejski StadiumBrentford continued their perfect Championship restart and closed the gap on the automatic promotion places to just two points with a comfortable 3-0 win over Reading. Bryan Mbeumo returned to the starting XI for the first time since football’s return and opened the scoring midway through the first half, heading Ethan Pinnock’s knockdown into the far corner for his 15th league goal of the season. The Bees dominated much of the first half and Mbeumo almost added a second on the break, denied smartly by Rafael Cabral, but Reading would have gone in level had Pontus Jansson not made a crucial block to turn Michael Olise’s volley over the bar. Top scorer Ollie Watkins missed an excellent chance to make it two shortly before the hour-mark, after Said Benrahma’s shot had deflected kindly into his path, but Josh Dasilva did double the lead soon after, sweeping home his own rebound after a terrific surge to get on the end of Emiliano Marcondes’ pull-back. Substitute Joel Valencia finally made the points safe late on with a terrific strike from 20 yards to open his account for the club.
Reading 0-3 Brentford | 90 minsMalik Ouzia at the Madejski Stadium"GOAL! That puts the icing on the cake. Joel Valencia gets his first goal for the club after a stop-start beginning to life in West London with a well-struck effort from 20 yards."
