MetiNews.Com - The GPs are looking for volunteers to help with logistics
Breaking News ! Patients from seven medical practices across Cambridge will be offered the Oxford University and AstraZeneca Covid vaccination from Saturday (January 15). People invited for the vaccine from all these practices will be vaccinated at a single site of those seven selected, which has not yet been confirmed. Those eligible are over 80s, care home staff and residents, and frontline NHS workers. The seven new practices are the latest to join those already delivering the vaccine across the county. Practices in Wisbech, Ely North & South, St Neots and South Peterborough are already taking part in the biggest immunisation programme in the NHS’s history.
. The Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Foundation Trust and Cambridgeshire and Peterborough CCG have also been contacting community groups in Cambridge to offer logistical support and find people eligible. These include the Queen Edith’s Community Forum, based south of the city centre. They have asked for support with supporting the logistics of parking, doing a meet and greet with people attending the surgery, and other outdoor roles, not clinical roles. More than 50 have already offered to help from the community forum.
