Breaking News ! Three men - including Hashem Abedi, brother of the Manchester Arena bomber Salman Abedi - have been charged with assaulting a prison officer at HMP Belmarsh. In a statement, the Metropolitan Police said the incident took place on 11 May, 2020. The force said that three men charged with actual bodily harm are Hashem Abedi, 23, Ahmed Hassan, 21, and Muhammed Saeed, 22. Abedi was also charged with assault on an emergency worker which relates to a second prison officer. Hashem Abedi was jailed in August for the murder of 22 people who died in the Arena bombing in May 2017.
. HMP Belmarsh is a Category A men's prison in London which holds around 900 inmates.
