UK Inquest opens into death of 18-year-old biker from Wigan last minute news

Breaking News ! An inquest has opened into the death of an 18-year-old from Wigan. Kyle Croston had been riding his motorbike along Warrington Road in Platt Bridge on August 30, Bolton Coroner's Court heard. Police coroner's officer Peter Yates told the court that the college student fell off his bike after losing control of it, before hitting a tree and a fence. Mr Yates said: "He fell onto the road surface and his helmet came off. He continued along the carriageway before colliding into a tree and a fence. "He suffered traumatic head injuries and was taken to intensive care unit at Salford Royal Hospital, where he passed away on September 13." Stephen Teasdale, assistant coroner for Manchester West, confirmed that the preliminary cause of death has been recorded as a "traumatic brain injury". He adjourned the inquest to be reviewed at a later date. Greater Manchester Police (GMP) are also appealing for more information around the circumstances of the crash.
"Our job as to ascertaining the circumstances behind this incident continue and we are again appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or who were travelling in the area at the time of the incident to come forward with information. "Also, anyone with dash cam footage from around the area at the time of incident is of particular interest to our investigation and we plead with them to make contact so we can ensure the victim's family get the answers they need."
