Breaking News ! Coronation Street viewers questioned Maria Connor's actions as she visited her man Gary Windass in hospital. The soap has now incorporated coronavirus into the storylines after returning to filming last month. Maria, played by Samia Longchambon, was wearing a mask as she sat by her fiance's bedside after he was knocked down in a hit and run. But when Gary woke up in Friday's Corrie, Maria pulled her bee-patterned mask down to speak to him. "Is Maria trying to kill him with Covid? Put your mask on properly!" said one viewer. Even if you live with the patient you still have to wear your mask properly," said another viewer on Twitter. Another exclaimed: "Seemed little point her wearing it!"
