Breaking News ! A teenager has been charged with the murder of 17-year-old Mohamoud Mohamed in Moss Side, police have said. He's 17 and can't be named for legal reasons because of his age. Greater Manchester Police said on Sunday he's been charged with a single count of murder. The boy is due to appear before magistrates in Manchester on Monday - August 3. He remains in custody, the force said. GMP said he he suffered stab wounds in what the force described as an altercation. In a statement on Sunday, Greater Manchester Police said: "Detectives investigating the murder of a 17-year-old boy in South Manchester have charged a teenage boy. "A 17-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has been charged with murder. "He has been remanded in custody and will appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court on Monday, August 3.
"At around 7.15pm on Sunday 26 July 2020, police were called to reports of a disturbance on Henbury Street, Manchester. "Emergency services attended and a 17-year-old boy was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. "He has since been formally identified as Mohamoud Mohamed." No further details have been released.
