Breaking News ! Ofcom has confirmed it will not be taking action against Britain's Got Talent over Diversity's Black Lives Matter performance. The dance, during the first Britain's Got Talent 2020 semi-final on Saturday September 5, portrayed the death of George Floyd in America and the protests that followed. The dance featured Ashley having his neck knelt on by a white police officer and was accused by viewers of taking a political stance during a family entertainment show. It is now the second most complained about TV moment of the decade. The TV watchdog received more than 24,000 complaints from viewers about the performance. An Ofcom spokesperson told Mirror Online: "We carefully considered a large number of complaints about this artistic routine, an area where freedom of expression is particularly important.

. "Any depictions of violence by the performers were highly stylised and symbolic of recent global events, and there was no explicit reference to any particular political organisation – but rather a message that the lives of black people matter."
