Breaking News ! Police were called out to the Cedar Court Hotel's grounds at Ainley Top last night (Mon) after travellers removed security fencing around the perimeter. Wayne Topley, managing director of Cedar Court Hotels, said there were six or seven vehicles in the contingent which attempted entry around 7pm. He said: "Our feeling is that they were possibly expecting the hotel to be vacant, which obviously isn’t the case as we have limited team members on a rotation basis, looking after the site. "Upon seeing the damage our team called West Yorkshire Police, and they were there within minutes. They asked them to leave. "We, as ever, remain impressed and thankful to our local emergency services for their speedy response." It also helped out a number of distraught wedding couples after their plans went awry after The Old Golf House Hotel Premier Wedding Venue in Outlane went into administration.

"And I have been pleasantly surprised at how quickly the business has returned." Some facilities will still be unusable, however, such as gyms, swimming pools and meeting facilities.
