Breaking News ! Police want to hear from anyone who witnessed an accident that cost the life of a 65-year-old cyclist from Huddersfield. Patrick Bredin had pushed on ahead of the group he was riding with in Bank End Lane near Clayton West when he was involved in a mystery incident. The group followed him around a left-hand bend in Bank End Lane, towards Clayton West, and discovered him lying on the floor with life-changing injuries. The emergency services were called and Mr Bredin was rushed to Leeds General Infirmary. The accident happened at around 1.
. Sadly, Mr Bredin died of his injuries on June 22.

Investigating officers from West Yorkshire Police 's Major Collision Enquiry Team are attempting to get to the bottom of what happened to Mr Bredin while he was out of view of his group. They are keen to hear from anyone in the area at the time who may have seen what happened.
