MetiNews.Com - Danny White, 59, was sentenced to more than two years behind bars by a judge at Sheffield Crown Court.
Breaking News ! An arsonist who caused £200,000 worth of damage to a florist and dance studio while drunk has been jailed. Danny White, 59, had consumed so much alcohol he did not remember setting fire to rubbish outside Limelands Florist in Laughton Road, Dinnington, on April 20, 2019. White, of Chantry Place, Sheffield, started another fire moments earlier at Adam’s Café in the same street. He was captured on CCTV shortly after 2am starting the first fire before moving onto the florist and dance studio above. White was arrested in May 2019 after CCTV stills were circulated on social media and led to him being identified.

Fire investigators found that both fires had been started deliberately by a paper or rubbish being set alight with a naked flame. White admitted two counts of arson being reckless as to whether life was endangered and was sentenced to two-and-a-half years in prison. Judge Rachael Harrison said: “Arson is always a serious offence. “By setting such fires you had put at risk a number of potential people; those inside, members of the emergency services who risk their lives to deal with the fire.”
