Breaking News ! Huddersfield residents and people living in other areas of Kirklees have called on the government to let them "go back to normal". A question posted to YorkshireLive's Facebook page asked readers what the region of Kirklees needed to do to help prevent the spread of coronavirus. Options given included: To stay in Tier 2 To move up to Tier 3 To go into national circuit breaker lockdown To go back to normal The whole of West Yorkshire, including Kirklees and Calderdale, was placed into Tier Two lockdown restrictions on Monday (October 12). It means indoor gatherings between different households are now illegal, but pubs and restaurants can remain open. And Kirklees Council leaders yesterday confirmed that no discussions have been held about moving up to Tier Three restrictions have been held.
