The Championship club, who have been beaten in their last two outings, losing to Watford on the opening day of the Championship campaign and then to Barnsley in the second round of the Carabao Cup on Tuesday evening, released a statement this morning confirming that the 71-year-old had returned a positive test. He will now serve a period of time in self-isolation inline with government guidelines. Warnock is showing mild symptoms of the virus but is claimed to be in good spirits. Despite that, he will not be allowed to take charge of Boro's clash against AFC Bournemouth at the Riverside on Saturday, which will see up to 1,000 fans allowed to attend.
