Breaking News ! The infection rates have dropped in almost all local authority areas in Yorkshire whilst cases have also seen somewhat of a swift drop. Only three out of 20 local authorities saw infection rates rise in the week up to November 16. These were Craven, Selby and Ryedale in  North Yorkshire. After recording 2,531 new cases of Covid from the previous day, there had been 1,861 recorded in the past 24 hours. The biggest increase in cases was seen in  Leeds  with 280, followed by  Bradford  which recorded 279. Kirklees, which has the  highest infection rate in West Yorkshire  and the sixth-highest in England, recorded a further 240 cases. There have also been another 316 deaths across the country recorded in the past day. 1,861 more positive Covid cases There have been a further 1,861 cases of coronavirus confirmed by hospital trusts across Yorkshire in the past day. The biggest increase was recorded by  Leeds, with 280 new cases confirmed; followed by Bradford, with 279 Kirklees, which currently has the highest infection rate in West Yorkshire, recorded a further 240 cases. York recorded the fewest new cases in this time, with 31 and  Barnsley  recorded 88.
