Despite safety measures, however, lots of schools, colleges and sixth forms have found themselves tackling an outbreak or two. Most educational establishments are ensuring that staff and students are in 'bubbles' so as to limit the impact that a potential outbreak could have on the wider school. In Yorkshire, we have seen a number of schools that have put partial closures in place - meaning that only certain year groups are asked to isolate after a suspected covid case. Schools in Barnsley, Bradford, Leeds, Keighley and Sheffield have all, that we know of, had outbreaks at their premises since re-opening. On Tuesday, a school in Leeds saw a second outbreak in two consecutive days. Regular hand-washing is also advised for when students arrive at school, return from breaks, change rooms and after eating. Anyone exhibiting symptoms of Covid-19 or who comes from a household with someone displaying symptoms should be kept away from school. Many parents and guardians are however still worried that it may not be safe for children to return to schools.
