Breaking News ! Another 24 people in Yorkshire have died from coronavirus in hospital and over 2,900 cases have been recorded in the past 24 hours. Bradford and Leeds were the two places to record the highest number of cases, while Leeds and Doncaster recorded the most deaths with nine and five respectively. In the past 24 hours Yorkshire saw another 2,980 cases of the virus recorded. Kirklees, Sheffield and Wakefield also saw large rises in cases, along with Bradford and Leeds. York was the only area to record under 100 new cases of the virus for the second straight day. In total 17 of 19 areas of Yorkshire saw a surge in their coronavirus infection rate. Doncaster saw the biggest rise for the second consecutive day. The latest data shows that 2,980 new cases of Covid-19 were recorded. Leeds recorded the highest number of cases in the county with another 488, followed by Bradford with another 431.
