Breaking News ! Chelsea and Leicester City have been charged by The Football Association following the clash between players, substitutes and coaches during the Blues' 2-1 victory on Tuesday night. Tensions between the sides heading into the game at Stamford Bridge were high following Saturday's FA Cup final. Leicester were victorious at Wembley thanks to a goal from Youri Tielemans and during the post-match celebrations defender Daniel Amartey was videoed throwing the pennant presented by Chelsea to the Foxes over his shoulder to the dressing room floor. It was viewed as a disrespectful action by several members of Thomas Tuchel's squad, as Blues defender Antonio Rudiger admitted after Tuesday's game. "Unfortunately, some people of them don't know how to celebrate. We had to punish them, 100%," the German told Chelsea's 5th Stand app. Video Loading Video Unavailable Click to play Tap to play The video will auto-play soon8Cancel Play now "Some people from them gave us a bit more motivation from Saturday. Congratulations to them, they won and everything. Celebrate and everything but don't disrespect club history.
." The clash between the two sets of players took place in stoppage time of Tuesday's game. After Ben Chilwell had been fouled by Leicester full-back Ricardo Pereira, Rudiger shoved the Portugal international and a scuffle ensued. It did appear to be petering out only for Amartey, who was an unused substitute, to get involved from the bench and that riled several Chelsea stars including Thiago Silva, Mason Mount and Cesar Azpilicueta. Amartey was shown a yellow card for his involvement and now the FA have confirmed Chelsea and Leicester have both been charged with failing to control their players.
