Breaking News ! Parents have been warned they could face fines after police dealt with large gatherings of youths in County Durham. Officers from the community policing team in Peterlee said that the groups had been gathering in Peterlee, Shotton, Wheatley Hill and Wingate on Saturday night. A number of them were taken to the police station where they waited to be collected by their parents. A post on the Peterlee community policing team on Facebook on Saturday night said that parents could be fined if they allow their children to stay over at a friends' houses. It read: "Yet again we are dealing with large groups of youths in Peterlee, Shotton, Wheatley Hill, and Wingate.
