Breaking News ! Snow has returned to the North East, causing hazardous conditions and travel disruption on the roads. The North East woke up to a blanket of snow after yellow and amber weather warnings were put in place by the Met Office. A Met Office weather warning for snow covers the North East until 9pm on Thursday.
