Breaking News ! A man has died after reportedly falling ill at a property in Gateshead. Police were called to a report of a 35-year-old man who had fallen ill in Ridley Gardens in Swalwell at 4.20pm on Monday. Paramedics and a big police response was spotted in the area, including the adjoining Clavering Road. Despite the best efforts of the emergency services, the man was pronounced dead at the scene. Police are investigating the man's death but at this stage there is not believed to be any third party involvement.
. A Northumbria Police spokesman said: "At about 4.20pm on Monday police received a report that a 35-year-old man had fallen unwell at a property on Ridley Gardens in Swalwell.

"Emergency services attended but despite the efforts of medical professionals, the man was pronounced dead. "Inquiries into the circumstances around the man's death are ongoing but at this stage there is not believed to be any third party involvement. "A report will be prepared for the coroner in due course."
