With ITV officially confirming that the show WILL go ahead this year, after fears it would be cancelled due to coronavirus, a number of stars have seen their names linked with the new series of I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here. Nearly eight months have now passed since former EastEnders actress Jacqueline Jossa was crowned Queen of the Jungle in Australia, narrowly beating Corrie favourite Andrew Whyment to win the 2019 series. ITV bosses confirmed earlier this week that there will be a show this year, although there is still some doubt over whether it will be allowed to happen in Australia, due to the worldwide pandemic. And the rumour mill is now throwing up a number of potential camp mates for this year, including one who is reportedly already 'confirmed' and Jessie J and Paul Merson who have just been tipped to appear. Here are the famous faces who've been linked to the new series of I'm A Celebrity so far... Beverley Callard Having rejoined the ITV soap in 2013, the famous soap actress, better known to millions as Liz McDonald, announced her decision to quit Coronation Street last year and now, according to The Mirror, her next TV role will be on I'm A Celebrity. Beverley Callard is being tipped for I'm A Celebrity Beverley is set to tour the UK in the autumn with stage play The Thunder Girls alongside Coleen Nolan and Carol Harrison, following its successful debut at The Lowry in Salford last year. Lucy Fallon The Coronation Street actress has been linked with I'm A Celebrity in the past, as well as stints on Strictly and X Factor: Celebrity, but now, after her character Bethany has left the cobbles of Wetherfield behind, insiders are tipping Lucy to go into the jungle. A source told The Sun : "Lucy is bubbly, funny, down-to-earth and game for a challenge, so she is a great fit for I’m A Celebrity.
"She had conversations last year about taking part but said, 'Thanks, but no thanks.' "This year, she told them she feels the timing is right." John Barnes The former Liverpool, Newcastle and England player, also famous for his rap in World in Motion, has expressed a desire to do I'm A Celebrity.
He told Radio Times: "I've done a few shows – I've been on Family Fortunes and The Brightest Family. "I did Strictly Come Dancing 10 years ago, but Dancing on Ice with my age and the injuries I've had, I don't think so. "The jungle would be good!"
