Breaking News ! Demba Ba has hinted a return to English football is 'an option' as the former Newcastle United fans' favourite looks to 'find joy again'. The Senegalese striker is currently looking for a new club following his release from Turkish outfit Istanbul Basaksehir last month. Ba scored 26 goals in 83 matches and helped the club to lift their first Super Lig last season, but has parted ways following a breakdown in his relationship with manager Aykut Kocaman. The former Magpies forward celebrates his 36th birthday later this month, but is still keen to continue playing and has identified England as a possible next destination. Ba has enjoyed something of a nomadic career since departing St James' Park in January 2013, and the striker admits it would have been 'special' to spend a decade with one club. "I would say there have been some things that has taken the joy of football away more or less over the last few years but I'm a lover of the game and want to finish on a very good note. "England could be an option but I'm not stuck on one country, one division or league - I'm just waiting to see what will come.

. "I would have loved to have two careers - one where I just travelled the world and visited countries, cultures and learnt about people because I love to do that. "But then I would have loved another where I stayed at one club for 10, 12, 15 years because it's special to do something like that." Reports had indicated Ba's exit from the Turkish capital was triggered by a row with Kocaman over fasting during Ramadan. The 35-year-old was excluded from the matchday squad for the clash with city rivals Fenerbache, but has played down these reports. Ba added: "They said it was down to the fact they thought the coach would not play me much for the rest of the season. "Because of the name I have and the respect they have for it they decided to terminate my contract early. "But I think it's more that sometimes I probably have a character that is too strong - I don't hesitate to speak my mind and it doesn't work every time."
