Breaking News ! The parents of a two-year-old boy who died in a suspected gas explosion in Lancashire have paid tribute to their 'beautiful little angel'. The tragic blast happened on Mallowdale Avenue in Heysham at around 2.40am this morning (Sunday). Two houses were found collapsed with serious damage to a third property. Police have now confirmed that George Arthur Hinds, aged two years and 10 months, sadly lost his life in the suspected explosion. George's parents have paid tribute to their 'beautiful little angel' (Image: Morecambe Area Police) George’s parents Vicky Studholme and Stephen Hinds were also injured, although not seriously. In a tribute posted on the Morecambe Area Police Facebook page, they said George was 'so precious' to them. “We are devastated at the loss of our beautiful George", the tribute said. "He was so precious to us.
. "Our beautiful little angel grew his wings today.” Two other people remain in hospital with injuries described as critical. The emergency services, local authority and partners remain at the scene and a safety cordon remains in place. A number of residents who were evacuated after the incident are being looked after by the local authority, police said. Gas service engineers are working to make the area safe.
