Breaking News ! A man in his 20s is in hospital after being stabbed in the early hours of this morning. Police have taped off Old Wells Close in Little Hulton, where the incident occurred. An ambulance and rapid response vehicle rushed to the scene at around 4.44am where the man was found with stab wounds. Paramedics remained at the scene for around 20 minutes before taking the man to hospital. Police officers then arrived shortly before 5am. A 26-year-old man and a 57-year-old woman have both been arrested on suspicion of assault. Police have issued a warning about cold callers (Image: Manchester Evening News) They remain in custody for questioning. The man’s injuries are not thought to be life-threatening. The road remains closed in both directions as police carry out enquiries.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police confirmed: “Police called shortly before 5am this morning (Wednesday 1 July) to a report of a stabbing on Old Wells Close, Little Hulton. “Emergency services attended and a man in his 20s was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening stab wounds. “Scenes remain in place on Old Wells Close and Chedworth Crescent. “A man aged 26 and a woman aged 57 have been arrested on suspicion of section 18 assault. “They remain in custody for questioning. “Old Lane is currently shut in both directions.” This is a breaking news incident.
