Breaking News ! A drug dealer has been jailed after stashes of crack cocaine and cash were discovered in a 'fantastic arrest'. Husnain Ali was arrested in Cleggs Lane, Little Hulton, on April 17, 2020, according to Greater Manchester Police's Little Hulton, Walkden, Ellenbrook and Worsley officers. PC Upton, of the force's neighbourhood team, was out patrolling when he was told over police radio that a 'suspicious vehicle' was heading his way, which he pulled over. Inside, the then-27-year-old Ali was found in possession of 'numerous packs of suspected cocaine and crack cocaine' and 'a quantity of cash'. He was arrested on the spot for possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply, as well as driving without insurance, in what officers called a 'fantastic arrest'. On April 6, almost a year on, neighbourhood police announced that Ali, of Rishton Lane in Bolton, has been jailed for the crimes.
. In a social media post, Inspector Katie Allen said: "Court result! "Who remembers PC Upton’s arrest nearly 12 months ago on Cleggs Lane, Little Hulton? "It has been a long investigation, and PC Upton has worked hard on the case. "As a result, Husnain Ali, born 27/08/1992, of Rishton Lane, Bolton, appeared at Manchester Crown Court on March 5, 2021, and pleaded guilty to possession of heroin and crack cocaine with intent to supply, obstructing police and driving with no insurance and was sentenced to three years imprisonment. "Great work from PC Upton and his team, as always. "Keep safe everyone."
