Breaking News ! Fears have been raised Warrington could heading for a local lockdown following a surge in coronavirus infections. Some 69 new cases have been confirmed in the town in the last two days, CheshireLive reports. The infection rate is also rising and the town is now one of England's top 10 hotspots for the virus. Warrington's infection rate has also increased and now stands at 105 cases per 100,000 people. The figures come after Warrington's Director of Public Health warned that a local lockdown is 'more likely than not.'
