Breaking News ! Two people have been charged after police seized £60k worth of crack cocaine and heroin at Wigan North Western railway station. Officers from British Transport Police (BTP) stopped the man and woman on Wednesday (January 13) as part of their county lines crackdown. The duo, who were travelling from Liverpool to the North East, were searched and found with the drugs, worth an estimated five-figure sum, according to The Daily Record. Pictures of the huge haul show the drugs separated into more than a dozen separate bags which vary in size. Officers have now confirmed that a 37-year-old man and 36-year-old woman have been charged on suspicion of possession with intent to supply. They both appeared at Wigan and Leigh Magistrates’ Court today (Thursday January 14).
