And with the end in sight, UK residents have already started to think about planning for the future. In just a few months, the government has outlined the possibility that we will finally be able to reunite with our loved ones indoors and outdoors - and even see the re-opening of nightclubs by the end of June. With that in mind, many people are wondering how the national Bank Holidays of 2021 will align with Boris Johnson's exit strategy so we can make the most of the celebrations. And another two will follow during the warmer month of May. There will be one Bank Holiday to look forward to in August. And reaching the end of 2021, two Christmas Bank Holidays will, of course, fall in December. April Friday, April 2 - Good Friday Monday, April 5 - Easter Monday By both Easter Bank Holidays, Step 1 of Johnson's roadmap out of lockdown, which will begin on March 8, will already be in place. This includes the re-opening of schools.

Six people or two households will be able to meet indoors and indoor hospitality and hotels will be open again. In Step 4, all legal limits on social contact will be removed and the remaining closed sectors of the economy will hopefully re-open. December Monday, December 27 - Christmas Day (substitute day) Tuesday, December 28 - Boxing Day (substitute day) By our December Bank Holidays, if all goes to plan, UK residents will be able to enjoy the Christmas period with their families as they would have enjoyed it before the pandemic occurred.
