Breaking News ! The Southbank is gearing up for the arrival of a 4,000 square foot al fresco bar boasting food, music and drink which is set to open on May 27. Between the Bridges is being dubbed London’s biggest beer garden and is a contender to Alexandra Palace’s Terrace, and is creating a buzz south of the river. The venue, set between Waterloo and Westminster Bridge, will offer bars and street food pop ups. It’s already boasting a stellar line up with summer sets by Gilles Peterson, Crazy P, Suggs of Madness and Norman Jay MBE, alongside the likes of Guilty Pleasures, Old Dirty Brasstards and Raw.

. Instagram If that’s not enough of a draw there will also be live performances, lip sync battles and death drops, as well as weekly craft markets and Plonk mini-golf. The venue is the brainchild of the Mighty Hoopla and Cross the Tracks festival co founders and they’ve pulled out all the stops to bring the ultimate extravaganza - tejo, a traditional Colombian throwing game infamous for its use of gunpowder, thought to be the first in the UK.
