London news Asda price glitch sees shoppers snap up £375 three-seater sofa for just £10 Uk news
MetiNews.Com - A mum from Lewisham decided to buy 6 of them
Breaking News ! Savvy Asda shoppers have been delighted to discover what appears to be a price glitch on their website. The Edmund sofa is worth £375, but if you choose between the five colour options, there’s a dramatic difference in price. The duck egg sofa, unlike it’s cream counterpart, was showing up as just £10, cheaper than its delivery charge. Asda’s website also lists the charcoal grey option as £14, the silver at £30 and the pewter colour at £35. The cream version of the three-seater sofa was listed at full price (Image: Asda) We’re not sure what’s happened here, but it feels like it could be the bargain shopper’s equivalent of the Friends of Glossier debacle. Don, one of The Sun ’s readers, from Lewisham bought three of the sofas after being told about the deal from a friend. He said: “"My mate called me in hysterics about the deal," he said.
. "The real story is going to be whether they turn up or not." Naturally, there was an instant social media storm, with memes in abundance as news of the glitch spread through the Internet. One alleged they had purchased six sofas, which had others wondering what you could possibly do with them. We wonder whether they bought them in order to properly socially distance their five friends when they’re finally allowed inside the house again. One Tweeter joked that he was making space for one of the £10 sofas in his bathroom. Another joked that Asda would send doll’s house sofas in place of the real deal. Is there anything better than dog memes?
