After several messages from people saying they had been given notes, the woman who handed them out replied to the post. She said: "Thank you so much for sharing this! I’m so glad it made your day due to all the negativity with Covid. I thought it would be a nice thing to do to cheer people up as Covid has got all us feeling a bit down!" Tracey told the ECHO that she appreciated the note as she always makes an effort to reach out to strangers she meets when walking on the prom. She said: "When I used to go for a walk about seven o'clock before I went to work, I'd always try to make the effort to say good morning to someone. "There's so many people are walking with their heads down at the moment and it feels a bit glum and and miserable, so it's just nice to know somebody else is there."
