Breaking News ! The death of a teenage boy who died in a canal has sparked hundreds of heartbreaking tributes. Underwater diving crews found the 18-year-old's body on Friday evening, around two hours after he was seen entering the water at Stanley Dock. Witnesses said they saw the teen get into the canal, close to Lightbody Street in Vauxhall, shortly before 3pm but he never resurfaced. The boy was sadly pronounced dead at around 5.30pm when his body was recovered. People across social media began posting tributes to the young man as soon as the tragic news was confirmed. On Facebook, Teresa Anderson said: "Absolutely heartbreaking, someone's child, only 18yrs of age, peace be with you." Air Ambulance Doctors on Great Howard Street.
