MetiNews.Com - Hundreds of customers were left unable to order items despite 'hours' of trying
Breaking News ! Next's sale is being slammed by customers this morning as "absolutely shambles" after website errors left many unable to order anything, despite having VIP slots. Next's sale is due to launch across stores this weekend, but as always, regular customers were able to book a 'vip slot' designed to give them early access to the savings. However, many have now taken to Twitter after being left unable to make any purchases after queuing for around two hours to get onto the website. User @KerriwAllison83 said: "You spend hours previewing the sale and for what... oh yes Next to allow too many people to register for the 5pm slot so it crashes. Keep trying is not good enough. Complete waste of time. Far from VIP!!!" Had my confirmed 7pm slot bumped back to 930pm after 50 mins in the Q. After another 20 min wait managed to only get 11 out of my 53 items! Shocking! “Having IT problems “ not cutting it I’m afraid." @Alichicken1974 said: "@nextofficial don't bother using your VIP slot people!! What a joke I have been on since 4.30pm and had all sorts in my basket and it's crashed every time and emptied basket out. Fuming so no more Next for me!" @allchnage79 said: "When it’s 8.20pm and your Next sale slot was 6pm..
...still can’t get in?!? @nextofficial #nextonline #vip????" @LCLEMP79 said: "Haha... Next Sale... After my VIP slot being delayed time and time again, now I'm in a queue with no idea how long I'll have to wait or if it will even work. Absolute shambles"

Some shoppers even said they had waited in a queue online for two hours as they tried to access the slot they had booked. User @Jannie_MJ said: "I've been waiting in the queue for two hours only half way there." Next did send a message to shoppers apologising for its website problems and reassured shoppers its teams were working hard to resolve the issues. The retailer tweeted: "Sorry if you are having problems accessing our VIP sale online. Our systems teams are working hard to resolve this issue as fast as we can. Please keep trying." Next's sale is due to drop across its stores from 5am (depending on the opening hours of your local store) on Saturday, July 4 and will offer half price savings on all its departments including clothing and homeware. Social distancing measures will be in place at stores and customers limits will be in place meaning you may be asked to wait in a queue outside before being allowed in.
